VU Heritage & History

The exhibition VU Heritage & History takes you through five pivotal periods that have shaped the VU into what it is today. Through objects and archival documents from the Special Collections of the University Library, combined with personal stories, you'll see how a small Protestant-Christian university grew into an international knowledge institution.

For this exhibition, we've designed a modular system that enables the VU to continuously reflect on and adapt the presentation based on new insights, stories, and collection pieces. This system complements the Brutalist architecture while adding a contemporary design language. The result is a timeless setting where new VU stories can also find their place.
